A member of the launch team, Imane Lahrache is one of the youngest news presenters at Sky News Arabia. She is a dynamic professional with significant experience in reporting, hosting, and presenting breaking news stories on television and radio broadcast.
In her current role, Imane has covered numerous international and regional stories and breaking news from some of the most sensitive conflict zones including Tunisia, Yemen, and Libya. Most notably, she hosted an unscripted five-hour on-air coverage of the June 30th revolution in Egypt, from which exclusive footage of events and guests were broadcasted by international media and renowned television networks such as Fox News. She went on to host live programs on-location in Egypt to cover the step-by-step roadmap that followed the revolution. During her tenure as a news presenter, she has conducted exclusive interviews with high profile figures such as renowned philosopher and linguist Noam Chomsky, former Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zaidan, the US Ambassador to Libya Deborah Jones, and the Syrian Minister of Information Omran Al Zoubi.
Prior to joining Sky News Arabia, she acted as a moderator for esteemed world forums and summits. In 2010, Imane joined Rusiya Al-Yaum in Moscow as a broadcast journalist and then as a presenter. In earlier roles, she worked for several radio stations in Morocco, where she interviewed prominent ministers and guests as well as hosted her own radio talk show.
Imane graduated from the Higher Institute of Information in Communication (Institut Superieur de l’Information et de la Communication) in Rabat, Morocco, the only state journalism school in the country. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
