Dr. Hubertus Hoffmann
President and Founder of the Global Tolerance Initiative.
Since 2008 his NGO is promoting universal rules for parents, educators, journalists, religious leaders and politicians how to promote respect for other religions, races and ethnic minorities, as important soft factors of peacemaking, including best practices from all over the world.
In 2014 he published his book Love is Tolerance with the Codes of Tolerance in Germany, with Arabic (Al Arabi Publishing, Cairo), Polish, Urdu (Pakistan) and English versions.
His global art project The Art of Tolerance includes portraits of The Dalai Lama, Pope Franciscus, Malala, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), and other Champions of Tolerance from all over the world, as well as The Globe of Tolerance, a bronze sculpture, and The Codes of Tolerance as a neon installation.
Hoffmann is co-producer of the documentary Watani – My Homeland, about a family from Aleppo he got out to his hometown Goslar, nominated for the Oscars and decorated with the German Television Award and an EMMY Award in 2017. His fresh documentary Love is Tolerance – Tolerance is Love- Make Tolerance Great Again! is a global search for the Champions of Tolerance and how we can make tolerance great again to contain all extremists. Including statements from The Dalai Lama, Malala, Yusuf Islam and many young people.
Dr. Hoffmann is a German geo-strategist, investor, internet-pioneer based in Berlin, and member of YPO.
He was worked as advisor in the German and European Parliament and the U.S. Senate, as a journalist in German television ZDF and media manager.
German President Johannes Rau decorated him with the Federal Cross of Merit for “the development of digital media in Germany” in 2000.
